Soon after hearing about the proposal for light the CWWPA alerted local residents. A flyer was developed and sent to a few local residents who copied/enhanced it and distributed it to homes surrounding the park. At the same time an organising Committee chaired by Phil Sharratt was formed and met to consider how to proceed.

The flyer called on residents to register to be kept uptodate on the matter. To date over 50 households have signed up.

The flyer also instigated a number of immediate comments.
