Council officers have recommended that Council not endorse two high rise applications in the Chatswood CBD on the basis that they do not comply with Council codes.
These are at: 4 Victor Street and 410-416 Victoria Avenue Chatswood (Post Office site) and 338-340 Victoria Avenue Chatswood (cnr. Spring St).
The NSW government has developed a radical plan to substantially increase the costs of high rise apartments in Sydney. It is designed to increase the financial attraction of outer suburban and regional houses and smaller apartment blocks.
Those involved in the industry have until April 30 to comment.
