Development notifications

CWWPA receives mailed notification of all Das in the Ward. However, CWWPA only reports significant Das to members. Under our Constitution we cannot enter into any debate concerning DAs between neighbours.

With regard to the larger Planning Proposals (PP). CWWPA is only notified AFTER a Gateway Determination by the State Government. The basic process for a PP is:

  • Application lodges PP
  • Officers assess PP
  • PP reported to Council with recommendation
  • If recco is to Approve, PP forwarded for Gateway Determination
  • If recco is accepted, PP returned to Council for Public Exhibition (including Have Your Say). Residents can comment and request to address Planning Panel
  • Planning Panel determines application

NOTE: CWWPA tries to monitor Council Agenda’s to obtain early information about PPs.
